Circus Futures is delighted to be the UK & ROI Partner working with the circusnext project to launch a new cycle of identification and support of original and creative emerging circus creators. Circus Futures is a founding partner of circusnext and is a co-organiser. The circusnext PLaTFoRM 2019-2021 open call for projects is now closed. The Selection Week had been put on hold due to Covid-19 and was later rescheduled as a virtual selection week in May 2021. The Laureates selected will perform in person (subject to government restrictions) in Paris towards the end of 2021.
Circus Futures is a UK-based organisation that works on projects relating to talent development for circus artists. It was the UK & ROI Co-organiser for CircusNext, an initiative involving nine core organisations and one main coordinator, which was a four-year project (2013-2017) seeking to assist emerging circus artists across Europe. From 2018 – 2022 Circus Futures is working with EU partners on the CircusNext Platform which is the designated EU Platform for Circus.
